I bit off more than I can chew on this bad boy so I have to let her go. It's a 1992 Dodge D250, square-body. 135,000 miles. She's a fixer-upper and frankly I'm a shit mechanic so I don't have the time nor knowledge to work on her. Here is the good, the bad, and the ugly.
-She drives pretty damn well*. You'll be able to drive it home if so desired.
-Low mileage for a truck 26 years old.
-Minimal rust... there's some, but not near as much to be a major concern
-Bench seat... Which I think is pretty damn cool
-Long bed, way longer than you'd expect
-Chicks and bros dig it. I've gotten more compliments on this thing than I have in my life.
-Window wipers do not currently work. I believe the motor is out, should be an easy fix.
-Drivers door won't open from the outside. I think it's just disconnected but there's this screw that's hard to get to and I got pissed off so stopped trying.
-Seat-belt anchor literally just broke. Again, easy fix but I am already too demoralized to fix it.
-Message center is telling me my ABS and braking needs work... I currently drive it fine and can't tell an issue but as I said before I'm a shit mechanic so who knows.
-There is a gnarly leak in the power steering (hence the asterisk after drives well) This is the straw that broke the camel's back for me... Basic mechanic knowledge can't fix that.
-I'm not exactly sure... but there's something underneath the car that looks like it should be attached but isn't... (See? I'm not kidding when I tell you I'm a shit mechanic)
I already trashed the camper... sorry about that. Kelly Blue Book has it set from $4500-$7200 for "fair" with this mileage so I figure $2000 OBO is fair with the required mechanical issues. I need a daily driver rather than a project.
Moral of the story is that the truck should be a great ride with some TLC. I just unfortunately can't give it to her. Hope you can! Email, Call, or Text at 8six5-6four3-10five2
